Description:

Introduced in 1989, the PB Max Candy Bar quickly gained popularity and generated over $50M in sales. Unfortunately, the product was discontinued in 1994, reportedly due to the Mars Family's distaste for peanut butter.

Fortunately, for those of us who love peanut butter, the candy bar is back....kinda! Our PB Max'd Nostalgic Layered Dessert features a delectable combination of sweet and creamy peanut butter, chopped whole grain cookies, and milk chocolate chip icing, sure to evoke fond childhood memories.

 Ingredients:

Creamy & Sweet Peanut Butter- Peanut Butter (Dry Roasted Peanuts), Powdered Sugar, Palm Shortening (Sustainably Sourced), Salt

Whole Grain Cookies- Wheat Flour, Palm Oil, Whole Wheat Flour, Sugar, Invert Sugar, Leavening (Malic Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate and Ammonium Bicarbonate), Salt, Skim Milk, Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Sulfate, Reduced Iron, Nicotinamide, Thiamine Hydrochloride.

Milk Chocolate Icing-  Palm Shortening (Sustainably Sourced), Sugar, Cocoa Powder (natural), Skim Milk, Cocoa Butter, Whole Milk Powder, Lecithin (soy), Natural Flavor

Very tasty

I gave it four stars because I had to stir it, but other than that, it was delicious. As far as hitting the nostalgic spot, the last time I ate one was over 30 years ago, but I feel like it's pretty close to the original.

Decent but does not taste anything like PB Max

Over all the product isn't bad, but can't give it higher than a 3 seeing I have to deduct 1 star for price and 1 star for the accuracy of the taste they are going for in the product.

Basically you are getting a Jar of chocolate frosting, peanut butter, and some type of broken up cookie for around $20 shipped. If the taste was more accurate to the original PB max then I would highly recommend at $20 or even more, but honestly it is what it is. I understand the cost needing to be higher due to the smaller production they are going through and of course shipping costs will always be expensive. If this was a product that could be found in stores for around $5-6 it would be more worth it from time to time and would get maybe 3.5 or 4 stars.

The peanut butter and cookies are nice but the frosting vs chocolate throws off the combo/taste more. Definitely an interesting product to try, but just don't go in it expecting to get that amazing taste you had back in the early 90's. Expect more along the taste if you took a cookie like a Biscoff, added peanut butter, and added some chocolate frosting from a can.

Would I buy again, no, but I do recommend people taking the chance on any of the products that interest them here cause everyone has different likes and tastes and you are supporting a small company.
